Ores are found in both the End and the Nether, so if you'd prefer spelunking there you can adventure through those dimensions!
The Wither is only able to be fought within the Nether, and cannot be spawned in the overworld.

A shield makes you immune to the biting damage of the Dreadful Peat Mummy, and could save your life!
Use Blessed Dust to protect your base from the undead.
Undead and unholy monsters are resistant to damage and will constantly regenerate health outside of the Betweenlands/Overworld. Use fire or Silver weaponry to weaken or kill them!
The End requires a Nether Star to enter!
Consider creating a magic map in the Twilight Forest to find your way to the next boss easily.
Create a hopper bonsai pot to automatically farm up logs and leaves of your choice!
Silver weapons deal extra damage to undead monsters.
Enchanting a Hoe with the "Homing" and right clicking stone will indicate where the nearest ore is equivalent to the material the hoe is made from. Diamond Hoe = Sounds indicating Diamond Ores, for example
Potions can be crafted in a cauldron instead of a brewing stand if you'd prefer!
You can create "dyed water" by throwing a dye item into cauldron water to create dye with 3x efficiency!
Create a compass to reveal your current X/Z co-ordinates!
Spectres spawn at low y-levels and will disappear when exposed to light. Touching them may curse one (or more) of your items!
An advanced Enchantment table allows you to pick what enchantments (and what levels) to add to your equipment.
Use a time in a bottle to speed up tile entities. Spend less time waiting, more time doing!
Prosperity Shards can easily be found within the Nether and the End as ores. Don't waste resources making them in a crafting table!

The Philosopher's Catalyst allows you to transmute some items of equal EMC value into other forms. Lead to Gold, as you please!
The Overgrowth Roots  ritual turns Cobblestone into Mossy Cobble -- great if you need lots of Terra Moss!
Fertilized Soil can be used to speed up crop growth speeds!
Caelic Soil speeds up the growth time of crops placed on it!
Aqueous Soil automatically harvests fully grown crops planted on it!
Magmatic Soil cooks crops planted on top of it when harvested -- perfect for potato farms or other food products!
Terran Soil acts as a fortune modifier for crops planted on it!
If performing any Thaumcraft crafting processes, always wear Goggles of Revealing as it will reveal important information for the craft!
Be careful using Essentia Smelteries as when un-upgraded they will produce a lot of flux!
